Kazakhstan to cooperate with French Firms to send Goods to China
Kazakhstan wants to cooperate with French companies in the delivery of raw materials to Chinese markets, Chairman of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, Kairat Kelimbetov stated during a session of Kazakhstan-French Business Council, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"Kazakhstan is an active player in oil and gas sector and the mining industry. Therefore, we are counting on the petrochemical industry, oil and gas mechanical engineering, metallurgy of all types, and the chemical industry becoming a base for the future economy of Kazakhstan," Kelimbetov said.
"We hope the production of these sectors will be focused on Southeast Asia, first of all, on the growing Chinese market. In this sense, cooperation with French companies in the delivery of products to Asian markets holds great interest."
Kelimbetov stated Kazakhstan is also interested in the further development of the uranium industry. We would like to further develop these areas together with Areva, taking into account a growth in demand for uranium in China," Kelimbetov said, according to Kazakhstan Today.
