Patriarch Kirill presents President Nazarbayev with Order of Glory and Honor

    Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has presented the Order of Glory and Honor to Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev “for his great contribution to inter-religious cooperation, and for strengthening peace and accord between people”.
    The two parties discussed a broad range of issues related to tolerance and inter-faith and interethnic accord. Patriarch KIrill expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan’s president for his policy of interethnic and inter-faith accord and praised his integration initiatives.
    Nazarbayev, in his turn, stressed, “every condition for the free development of religions has been created in Kazakhstan. The principled policy of our state includes respect and a careful attitude to religion, and to the interests of believers, a presidential press release notes, according to Itar Tass.
